The joy was palpable with transparency as our brothers and sister expressed their gratitude. Their hearts filled with the spirit of God's presence through prayers. Witnessing Grace in Unexpected Encounters
We set out with a simple purpose: to minister to those who find themselves homeless. Our hearts were prepared to offer comfort, to serve meals, and in doing so, to share a bit of hope. But the experience that unfolded became so much more than we expected, a testament to how deeply God works through the smallest among us. As we distributed meals, a mother gratefully accepted the food. Almost instantly, she was moved to tears, overcome by the kindness and warmth she felt from our group. In that moment, the barriers of hardship and loneliness seemed to crumble beneath the weight of simple compassion.
Yet, the encounter’s impact did not end there. An eleven year old boy, who had stepped forward to connect with this mother, became visibly emotional himself. Concerned, I quietly asked him what was on his heart. His response cut through the noise of the day and settled into a place of silent understanding he shared that the act of kindness reminded him of his own mother, whose abuse had left him longing for compassion. The memory, once distant, came flooding back amidst the tears of a stranger, and he felt both the ache of what he had missed and the healing of sharing empathy with another.
The revelation weighed heavily on all of us. It was as if a chord had been struck, resonating through our group. In the silence that followed, the boy embraced the woman, and then turned to one of our own sisters, who had also endured abuse in her past. The circle of hugs that followed became a tangible sign of God’s presence soft, profound, and unmistakable a holy moment suspended between grief and grace.
Through this humble encounter, we were reminded that ministry is not only about
what we give, but also about how we are transformed by the stories and vulnerabilities of others. Often, it is the act of serving that brings our own wounds into the light, where they can be touched and perhaps, in community, begin to heal.

Getsemani experienced a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit while ministering to families in Woonsocket. The prayers, especially for the children, were incredibly impactful. We are grateful to the church members who generously contributed to the distribution of clothing, shoes, blankets, and food. This ministry truly witnessed God's presence in a remarkable way—Praise the Lord!

God's word, a beacon of light in the darkest of places, knows no boundaries. It transcends the physical confines of space and time, reaching into the hearts of those who feel abandoned and forsaken. The Holy Scriptures, imbued with divine wisdom and grace, offer solace and guidance to inmates seeking redemption and purpose.
Psalm 119:105 proclaims, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." This verse encapsulates the essence of God's word within the prison walls. It serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path towards spiritual awakening and moral rectitude. Inmates, often grappling with guilt and despair, find in the Bible a reservoir of hope and strength.

Working with the HS Seniors at Woonsocket has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The joy and growth I witness in these young individuals surpass any monetary reward. Celebrating the wonderful blessing and fellowship we experienced with Getsemani Outreach Ministry in Woonsocket! It was truly a blessing to see so many individuals accepting prayer and sharing their stories. These ladies clean my home. The one in the middle, Elane requested to pray for me. She laid her hands on my head and prayed in Portuguese. It was a powerful prayer, intense. I understood exactly what she was praying. When she finished, I was trembling and she was crying. She told me my tumor moved.
The next day I was supposed to receive what date treatment was going to start and where. She asked me to get tested again before I started treatment. I said yes but really had no intentions of doing so thinking she's weird. I got the call from my doctor expecting the date to start. Instead, she told me I had no more tumor and I had no cancer. I'm choosing to believe that prayer now, along with the prayers at my church, the many others keeping me in their thoughts and prayers.
I just want to close by saying, "But, there is a God!" AMEN!!! Dan 2:28
